Bio-Balance Chiropractic cares about your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with the European Union General Data Protection Regulation, the United Kingdom General Data Protection Regulation (collectively known as the “GDPR”), other applicable data privacy laws and fair information practices.

This Privacy Notice (“Notice”) describes how Bio-Balance Chiropractic collects, uses, and shares your personal data. It sets out in clear and plain language our commitment to protecting and respecting your privacy and your data rights.
We recognise that the use and disclosure of personal data has important implications for us and for the individuals whose personal data we process. We operate across and have offices in countries which regulate the use, and impose restrictions on overseas transfers, of personal data. It is important that you read this Notice together with any other notices we may provide on specific occasions when we are collecting or processing your personal data, so that you are fully aware of how and why we are using your personal data. This Notice supplements the other notices and is not intended to override them.
This Notice applies whenever we collect your personal data, so please read it carefully. This Notice will form part of our digital terms of use as we introduce more websites or platforms that collect data.

Who And What Does This Notice Apply To
This Notice applies to the processing of personal data by Bio-Balance Chiropractic in connection with any:
§ “Customer Services”: provision of products and services by Bio-Balance Chiropractic to actual and prospective customers;
§ “Supplier Services”: provision of products and services to Bio-Balance Chiropractic by suppliers or service providers;
§ “Visitor Services”: provision by Bio-Balance Chiropractic of facilities, including conference rooms, local area networking (for instance, WiFi) and other relevant facilities and services to visitors to any Bio-Balance Chiropractic offices or clinics;
§ “Recruitment Activities”: provision of the personal data of a candidate or individual (whether by such candidate or individual or by a third party, such as a recruitment agency) for a position at Bio-Balance Chiropractic other than through Bio-Balance Chiropractic’s usual recruitment process;
§ “Use of our Websites”: the processing of personal data by Bio-Balance Chiropractic in connection with the processing of personal data on the Bio-Balance Chiropractic website (www.biobalancechiro.uk), including any personal data that website visitors may provide through the use of the Websites when they sign up to receive newsletters, blog posts, register for events or use our contact forms (“Website”); and
§ "Use of our electronic portals and platforms": the processing of personal data by Bio-Balance Chiropractic in connection with provision of services via our customer booking portal, and/or other electronic portals and platforms which we offer or which we have agreed with you to use.
References in this notice to “you” or “your” are references to individuals whose personal data Bio-Balance Chiropractic processes in connection with the items listed above. For the avoidance of doubt:
§ any reference in this Notice to our “customers” or “suppliers” includes their employees or other staff whose personal data we process;
§ this Privacy Notice also applies to Bio-Balance Chiropractic’s processing of personal data of individuals who could be (or could be the employees or staff of) transaction or services counterparties or rival bidders to, or litigants in legal proceedings involving, our actual or prospective customers; and
§ if you have provided your personal data to Bio-Balance Chiropractic for recruitment activities (whether directly or through a third party) this Notice is only designed to provide you with information about how we will process your personal data up to the point that you apply for a position or placement with Bio-Balance Chiropractic. The Types Of Personal Data We Use And Its Sources
To operate our business and provide our products to our customers, we gather a range of personal data:
Some of this data we will gather directly from you via our staff, and in future online, during the customer/supplier onboarding process and then afterwards during the term of our relationship with you;
Some of this data we may obtain indirectly by reason of your interactions with us, including our websites, where some data is collected automatically through cookies. Please see our “Website Cookies Notice” for more information; and
Some of this data we may obtain from third-party sources, where you give us your permission, and where it is necessary to enable us to perform our contract with you or to enable us to comply with a legal obligation.

Personal data about you, such as name, address, telephone numbers, bank details;
Financial or employment data, either that you provide ;
Transactional data that we obtain from and process about you during the time you have a contract and relationship with us;
Technical data, such as IP addresses, we capture from the devices and technology you use to interact with us; and
Marketing preferences you have provided.
Purposes For Which We Use Your Personal Data
We are required to inform you of the purposes for which we use your personal data, the legal reasons for doing so and, if we rely on a so-called “legitimate interest” as a reason, to tell you what that legitimate interest is. A legitimate interest reason for using your data is one justified for a good business reason or a commercial purpose like marketing.

Who We Share Your Personal Data With
We collect personal information when you open an account with us or place an order for products or services or commence trading with us. We will use this information to provide the services requested, manage our business relationship with you, maintain warranty records (where applicable) and, if you agree, to send you marketing information.
We may use third parties to provide or perform services and functions on our behalf; in doing so we may make personal information available to these third parties, to perform these services and functions. Any processing of that personal information will be on our instructions and compatible with the original purposes.
We may also make personal information concerning individuals available to public or judicial authorities, law enforcement personnel and agencies as required by law, including to meet national security or law enforcement requirements, and including to agencies and courts in the countries where we operate. Where permitted by law, we may also disclose such information to third parties (including legal counsel) when necessary for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims or to otherwise enforce our rights, protect our property or the rights, property or safety of others, or as needed to support external audit, compliance and corporate governance functions.
Personal information may be transferred to a party acquiring all or part of the equity or assets of Bio-Balance Chiropractic or its subsidiaries in the event of a sale, merger, liquidation, dissolution, or other.
All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Bio-Balance Chiropractic won’t share any personal information with third parties where it requires individuals’ consent to such disclosure until said consent is obtained.
How We Protect Your Data
The data we collect is stored on information technology systems owned and/or operated by Bio-Balance Chiropractic or that of verified third parties. All information you provide to us is stored on our secure servers. Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet or email is not completely secure and although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted over the internet to our site or by email; any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will use all necessary procedures and security measures to try to prevent unauthorised access, loss, disclosure or amendment.
Your Rights In Respect Of Your Personal Data And Other Matters
Under certain circumstances, you have rights under data protection laws in relation to your personal data. It is Bio-Balance Chiropractic's policy to respect your rights and Bio-Balance Chiropractic will act promptly and in accordance with any applicable law, rule or regulation relating to the processing of your personal data.

Right to be informed about how personal data is used: you have a right to be informed about how we will use and share your personal data. This explanation will be provided to you in a concise, transparent, intelligible and easily accessible format and will be written in clear and plain language;
Right to access personal data: you have a right to obtain confirmation of whether we are processing your personal data, access to your personal data and information regarding how your personal data is being used by us;
Right to have inaccurate personal data rectified: you have a right to have any inaccurate or incomplete personal data rectified. If we have disclosed the relevant personal data to any third parties, we will take reasonable steps to inform those third parties of the rectification where possible;
Right to have personal data erased in certain circumstances: you have a right to request that certain personal data held by us is erased. This is also known as the right to be forgotten. This is not a blanket right to require all personal data to be deleted. We will consider each request carefully in accordance with the requirements of applicable laws relating to the processing of your personal data;
Right to restrict processing of personal data in certain circumstances: you have a right to stop the processing of your personal data in certain circumstances. This right arises if you are disputing the accuracy of personal data, if you have raised an objection to processing, if processing of personal data is unlawful and you oppose erasure and request restriction instead or if the personal data is no longer required by us but you require the personal data to be retained to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim;
Right to data portability: in certain circumstances, you can request to receive a copy of your personal data in a commonly used electronic format. This right only applies to personal data that you have provided to us (for example by completing a form or providing information through our website). Information about you which has been gathered by monitoring your behaviour will also be subject to the right to data portability. The right to data portability only applies if the processing is based on your consent or if the personal data must be processed for the performance of a contract and the processing is carried out by automated means (i.e. electronically);
Right to object to processing of personal data in certain circumstances, including where personal data is used for marketing purposes: you have a right to object to processing being carried out by us if (a) we are processing personal data based on legitimate interests or for the performance of a task in the public interest (including profiling), (b) if we are using personal data for direct marketing purposes, or (c) if information is being processed for scientific or historical research or statistical purposes. You will be informed that you have a right to object at the point of data collection and the right to object will be explicitly brought to your attention and be presented clearly and separately from any other information; and
Right not to be subject to automated decisions where the decision produces a legal effect or a similarly significant effect: you have a right not to be subject to a decision which is based on automated processing where the decision will produce a legal effect or a similarly significant effect on you.
You may exercise any of your rights at any time by contacting us at (DPO@biobalancechiro.uk). You will usually not have to pay any fee to exercise any of your rights. However, we may charge a reasonable fee if your request is clearly unfounded, repetitive or excessive.
If you have an account, you can review and change your personal information by logging in to the Website and visiting your account profile page.
We may also need to request specific information from you to help us confirm your identity and ensure your right to access your personal data (or to exercise any of your other rights). This is a security measure to ensure that personal data is not disclosed to any person who has no right to receive it. We may also contact you to ask you for further information in relation to your request to speed up our response. We try to respond to all legitimate requests within one calendar month (or earlier in accordance with applicable laws). Occasionally, it may take us longer than one calendar month if your request is particularly complex or you have made multiple requests. In this case, we will notify you and keep you updated.
We may not be able to delete your personal information except by deleting your user account. We may not accommodate a request to change information if we believe this change would violate any law or legal requirement or cause the information to be incorrect.
Your Objection To Us Processing Your Personal Data
We need to collect personal data from you for performance of a contract and for compliance with our legal and regulatory obligations. You may refuse to provide us with your personal data at any time in our relationship because you object to such processing, but if you do so we may not be able to continue to provide goods or services to you, or we may have to terminate our relationship with you. If you do withdraw your consent where we previously have asked for it, this will not invalidate our use of your personal data prior to that withdrawal.
How Long We Retain Your Data For
We will hold your personal data for either as long as you are our customer/supplier, you continue to owe us any money or as long as is reasonably necessary to fulfil the purposes we originally collected it for. If you stop being a customer/supplier of ours we will keep your personal data for no longer than 6 years from that date, because we are obliged by law to retain a record of transactional data and to enable us to respond to any complaints made during this period.
Such a maximum retention period may be overridden by a valid legal or regulatory requirement for us to retain your personal data for a longer period, including enabling us to answer any ongoing legal or regulatory inquiries.
